Declaration on Substances deemed Hazardous under California Proposition 65

In August 2016 the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) amended Proposition 65, which protects the states drinking sources, with the following:
 
“It is the responsibility of product manufacturers, producers, packagers, importers, suppliers or distributors to provide warnings on products manufactured after August 30, 2018 containing listed materials under California Proposition 65.”
 
For all product produced by Mile High Equipment LLC, d.b.a. Ice-O-Matic after August 30, 2018, the following information is added:
 
Ice Machines
The following is on the unit serial number plate:
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Diphthalate (DEHP) which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defect or other reproductive harm.

Ice Storage Bins
The following label will be placed on some ice storage bins:
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including, 1.3 butadiene, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defect or other reproductive harm.

All Ice-O-Matic products continue to be certified and labeled to NSF / ANSI 12 standards to ensure sanitation safety.
